If you want to see a musical, then there is no greater place than London's West End. Which is your all time favourite production? Is it something current or one made a long time ago? What made it so special?

My favourite West End Musical is the Lion King, which is shown at the Lyceum Theatre. I was absolutely captivated. Everything was magical, from the set designs and costumes to the music. They really elevated the songs from the film to a whole new level.
Saw 'Les Miserables' there. UK actor, Alun Armstrong (Brian in 'New Tricks'), played Thenardier, & I was surprised at his relatively good singing!

Theatre was NOT air conditioned, & it got VERY hot, as 'full house'!

We must be 'spoilt' here, as ALL Theatres, film & live, have air-con! Yay!

I've only seen 1, even though I've been to London a few times. In 1988 I saw, '42nd Street' & loved it, We I came back home, it was on the stage in NSW, but of cause another production of it, & again. another wonderful production pf the show!
